FAQs

What is polymer clay?

Polymer clay is a lightweight modeling material that is oven baked to cure. Technically polymer clay isn’t clay at all, but PVC! It is versatile and easy to work with, and comfortable to wear.

Are your stud posts hypoallergenic?

I use stainless steel stud posts and hooks that are listed as nickel free by the manufacturer. A reaction is always possible, but I do everything I can do make sure you have a sensitive ear appropriate post!

Will the hardware on your earrings tarnish?

I use stainless steel hardware for silver tone hardware whenever possible. Some silver tone hardware is silver plated and therefore can tarnish over time, just like sterling silver.
Gold tone hardware is typically brass or gold plated brass. Brass can tarnish over time or depending on your skin chemistry. I personally love the color of brass for gold tone and of course, it is much less costly.
However, tarnishing is easily remedied for all products by giving your jewelry a rub with a jewelry polishing cloth if needed.
A jewelry polishing cloth is included with your purchase for your convenience!

Are the earrings heavy?

Polymer clay is lightweight and easy to wear. Most pieces will only weigh equivalent of a quarter, but may weigh more depending upon size and details. Any earrings that are “statement” sized will be heavier.
